How Big Is Google Search?
If the debate over global warming is now settled (says who?), then there should be no doubt about which is the largest of all the search engines out there. The winner needs no introduction.
Consider this: Based on click-through activity from Aug. 1, 2006, to Jan. 20, 2007, Google had a 71.6% share of the global search engine market.
The thing to remember here is that, if you’re considering a paid-search marketing strategy, Google offers the most visitors, by far, of all those offering PPC (pay per click) programs. Yahoo is still second, but MSN and Ask have revved up their programs in hopes of catching up.
Like Aaron Wall in his SEO Book (highly recommended to buy and refer to), I suggest you stick either just to Google or to Google and Yahoo if you’re going to run any paid-search campaigns.

I would also take a look at Microsoft PPC ads. Since they have fewer advertisers and virtually no syndication they are a cheap clean source of traffic.
