Vertical Searches Combined in New Google Model

Most people are blissfully unaware that Google has many search engines beyond the generic google.com.  Books, videos, blogs, catalogs–all these and more have vertical, or specialized, search engines operated by Google.

Many simply add a word before google.com in the URL, such as scholar.google.com, but others use other naming devices.
