It works like this: You enter the name of your Web site (or someone else’s for that matter) and also a search word of phrase. The tool then shows you your numerical ranking on Google and Yahoo for that search term and also lists the top-ten results. The cool part is using the top-ten results to check on those sites’ backlinks. Knowing who’s linking to them gives you an edge in trying to build your own backlinks, or at least identify potential backlinkers. Of course, it would also help to examine the competing sites’ content to see why and how they attracted their backlinks. Remember, content is king.
