Off page SEO is trial and error, you might find yourself experimenting on some methods which is unethical to Google or yahoo. Everything to internet marketing is derived from the methods you’ve mention, but if you done in excessively especially mirror sites and duplicate contents which looks like a spam I guess Google would put your site below. Just an opinion

Great idea! Easier said than done! It’s all about traffic on the net. If you don’t get eyeballs, you can’t build a business.

With that being said, you are correct, that if you can narrow down to a niche with a hunger, you can do very well.

Nice post, agree with your points.

There are ethical ways of gaining links. what about paid links? Paid article and PR, do u think they are better than free once.

Because I do free article submission and meager amount of traffic i usually expect from them, my main intention behind this activity is to get back links.

But around 60 submissions of article has yielded 15 back links, rest is sort of waste, neither ended up in back links nor traffic. Have you ever maintained the data and the results. whats your thought on free article submissions.
